                By downloading, installing, or using Symptio ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
            

Health Information Disclaimer

                Symptio is NOT a medical device. The App is intended for personal health tracking and informational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information from this App. The Smart Insights feature identifies statistical patterns in your data but does not constitute medical analysis. Pattern correlations do not imply causation.
            

Service Description

Symptio is a health symptom tracking app for iOS, developed by Smart Kiitös Oy. The App provides:

Recording symptoms with severity, triggers, and notes
Viewing symptom history and trends over time
Optional HealthKit integration for correlating health metrics
Exporting symptom reports as PDF or CSV
Optional iCloud sync across your devices
Home Screen widgets for quick access

HealthKit Data

If you grant Symptio access to Apple HealthKit:

The App reads health data only on your device for correlation purposes
HealthKit data is never uploaded to any server
HealthKit data is never shared with third parties
You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iOS Settings

Your Data

All symptom data is stored locally on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. We do not have servers and cannot access your data.

You can delete all data at any time by deleting the app. For iCloud data, you can remove it from your iCloud storage in iOS Settings. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions & Payments

Symptio may offer premium features through in-app subscriptions. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscription management, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple according to their terms.

We do not receive or store any payment information.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account
You agree not to misuse the App or use it for any unlawful purpose
You agree not to reverse-engineer the App
You are responsible for the accuracy of the symptom data you enter
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App (or have parental consent for family profile tracking)

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and visual identity, is the intellectual property of Smart Kiitös Oy. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

You retain full ownership of the health data you create within the App.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the trend analysis will be medically accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Smart Kiitös Oy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health decisions made based on data from the App.

Changes to the Service & Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time, with or without notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law principles.
